I feed my guinea pigs fresh food morning and evening. Fresh hay daily and pellets once they have eaten them all. I've had finn and jake for 4 and a half weeks and was wondering if this is ok
Jake had grown quite a lot whereas finn is not as big

Hello, Welcome to the forum!

Finn and Jake are beautiful! Congratulations.

Have a read of this thread here Recommendations For A Balanced General Guinea Pig Diet it will tell you all you need to know

Piggies grow at different weights. How old are they and what do they weigh?

Could you add your location to your profile also? It allows us to tailor any advice to your geographical location if needed.

What's more important is how old they are. Piggies less than a year old need alfalfa hay + pellets. Also each pig needs about a cup a day of fresh veggies so if you give them a cup in the day and a cup at night that they share, it should be fine.

Piggies over a year old eat regular hay (usually Timothy) and their pellet amount is limited to about 50g a day I think (the link @sport_billy provided should say). And a cup of veggies per day.

I wouldn't worry about weight so much unless it fluctuates dramatically. While there is an average, some piggies are just naturally smaller! Mura is six months weighing about 350g, and Momo who is three months weighs twice as much! You can check their heft by trying to feel their rib cages. If you can feel them (and they're not protruding like anorexia) then they're fine, if you can't feel them then your piggy could be overweight!
