I feed my guineas once a day, a big feed, but should I feed them bit by bit ?

Thanks, Alan.

okay I'm not sure what food your refering to veges/pellets/hay?
Guinea pigs are grazers so should be fed small amounts reguarly or allowed to eat when they want
This is what i do for my piggies its a good rough guide

unlimited supply of hay
veges are fed morning and night-around one good handful morning and night
Pellets are fed all day for my younger piggies but once they reach 8 months old i only fill there bowl up once a day.
Small handful of grass and sometimes a little of the dried dandelions with it.
that is based on 2 piggies as i keep mine in pairs, none of mine are underweight or overweight so it should be fairly spot on.Although with particular boofer piggies which i have also, they tend to want more food than that, beware if yours are chubby piggies as my Smokey doesnt stop eating even when he is full so i have to control his portions, but as a general rule the piggies will stop eating when full so most of the time i wouldnt worry about over feeding x

Here is what I do.

Everyone gets a full bowl of pellets I usually have to re fill it once ever two days or so.
I give unlimited amout of hay.
Veggies is given usually once a day but I give little amouts when I cook, this is mostly because if I don't they don't well shut up LOL

I had an older piggie back when I was living at home. I find the older piggies (she was REALLY OLD almost 14 or so when she finally passed on) around the age of 5+ tend to eat and eat if your not careful they can get fat very quick. But As Boris has said don't worry unless you see a mayjor weight gain.
