So the girls had almost run out of hay so I popped into my local pet shop to get them some more. Usually I get them the expensive stuff but I thought I'd try the cheaper one instead because in the bag it looked lovely. Big mistake. mallethead when I opened it at home I found out... It's un chopped which is good in one way but bad in another, it'd probably be dusty but it was damp instead, it smelt different aswell, dirty : my fingertips were grimy and you could see that the hay was dirty + I found a stray dried up bunny poop it... :)>>> now the piggys have to have that in their litter tray to eat for a day until I can go and fetch different hay... Feel sooo bad :(

I know what you mean!:(
Sometimes I run out of hay and have to give mine some other hay which they seem to eat but it't hard and not that nice

Don't feel bad, you were just trying out other hay.

We've all had bad experiences with hay I'm sure. Sometimes my hay is absolutely lovely. Long, nice and good quality then other times I open it and it smells musty, isn't long and all and dusty. I have a bag like that right now sadly. x.x Its usually a gamble.

return it to the shop. I always do and if they get shirty you just ask for the address where the hay come from. It always works...
