Hey everyone.

I've not been around for awhile - just the occasional popping on.

As some of you may know i am now 10 weeks and 5 days pregnant after 5 miscarriages.

The pregnancy is going well but i have been so ill with morning sickness and my energy levels are just wiped! I get up at 9am take the dogs for a walk check on the pigs and end up back in bed 12pm!

I'm trying my best with my guinea's but at the moment i'm finding it so hard to give them attention - at the moment i've settled to having a chair in the shed so i can at least sit and talk to them for a few mins every time i go out to see to them.

I'm feeling really guilty for this. I know my energy levels will pick up in a few weeks but i'm close to tears i feel that bad for them :(

Just needed to get it off my chest with people that understand x

you sooooo need to take things easy, dont worry about the pigs, they will entertain themselves for a month or two as long as you keep popping in they will get over it lol.

Oh lovey, if the pigs could understand they wouldn't care they would tell you, just make sure were fed and watered and then rest, which is all you need to do, they have each other for company and i am sure plety of toys to keep them amused.

You need to look after yourself as a priority. I feel like you do all the time and i'm not pregnant :))

Just take care of yourself x

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy. I really do wish you all the very best.

Please do not feel guilty to your pigs. At the end of the day, they have each other for company and so long as they are getting the basics, food, water, hay and a clean home, they will be just fine.

Right now, your health and your unborn baby are the main priority and people will understand that.

Why not plan to treat them to something nice when you are feeling better?

I know but there so used to coming out every day and when i leave the living room window open i can hear brucey screaming for attention or throwing his box around out of frustration. The little wheekers are breaking my heart at the moment lol

Do you constantly pick up a screaming baby when you know it is fed, watered and a clean nappy? No you leave it to get on with it :))

Ok fair point! lol

Bruce is very used to human attention as he wont accept or live anywhere near another pig. I might ask my hubby if we can bring him indoors for a few weeks - he wont feel neglected and lonely then and then i might not feel so bad for him.

I agree with Claire W...and I understand where you're coming from.

Are you able to have them come inside one at a time to snuggle with you while you watch tv?Give them a snack while you lounge and then the next day bring the other in etc (i dont know how many piggies you have).

I hope you start feeling better soon. Take care of that bean first amd foremost!

Thats what i have been doing - one pig a day. But with 6 of them it takes me nearly a week lol

My hubby even brought one of the pigs to wake me up the other afternoon. I've never been woken up by a guinea pig before it was soooo sweet!

HUGS!

Your piggies will cope; you still care about them well enough not to have a bad conscience! They will simply have to get used to getting a bit less attention sooner rather than later when you are wiped out with caring for a baby round the clock at first and struggle to get anything done some days.

I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you that all will go well this time round!

I think this week has been the worse. My kids are on holiday with my dad until this friday - when my kids are here they help me a lot with the guinea's so this week has been fairly hard without them.

My kids are angels in disguise - they always hold everything together for me and i barely notice until their not here.

I dont have a choice but to take it easy i feel completely paralysed most days lol

I know it seems like an age but you'll almost certainly start feeling a bit better once you get past the 3-4 months stage, those early weeks are exhausting. I am someone who never naps during the day but, when I was in the first trimester, used to go to sleep at 7pm as soon as I'd got home from work.

Take care of yourself, I'm sure the gps will forgive you :)

Congratulations on the pregnancy, hope everything goes well for you.

Don't worry about the piggies, as long as they have enough food, water, hay, each other you don't need to give them lots of attention (although I'm sure you will be wanting too!) x

Hubby has just taken me out for an hour and i feel a lot more refreshed for it so i'm going to eat and then go spend some time with my babies whilst my hubby gives the dogs some attention.

Midwife has said another 4 weeks and i should start feeling a lot perkier. I'm usually quite energetic and was fine when pregnant with my 2 children but this baby has knocked me sideways - a good sign that everything is going as it should be though :)

Actually feeling a bit better today. Cleaned all the shed out and provided new toys and a very large bundle of hay for each pig which has got them all excited lol

I have a fetal doppler which should arrive tomorrow when i'll be 11 weeks!

Only 1 more week to go until i'm out of the danger zone and it can't come soon enough! I'm off to the docs tomorrow as i've started with slight dizziness and heart palpitations so that could be a sign my ferritin has dropped but thats easily sorted.

And to top it off my Kiddie winks are home tomorrow which means i'll have my helping hands back :)

Oh god I know what you mean! I've just hit the 12 week mark and have been feeling better lately, but when I was around 10 weeks I was knackered by 11am, would sleep 2-3 then be tired again by 5 :{. Today, however, I felt absolutely exhausted and had to have a nap for an hour or 2.

I really hope this pregnancy works for you though! Will also be nice to have someone around the same stage as me to chat to and compare :))

How are you feeling today piggie-power?

Sick to my stomach and unable to move. Can't even have my morning decaff coffee 8...

Must be making up for me feeling so well yesterday pow-pow

Oh dear :( I have completely gone off tea and coffee. I think I've managed about 3 cups since I got pregnant and I used to drink about 3 a day :)).
Hopefully as the days goes on the feeling will subside. Try and get some food down you...that always helps with the sickness.

I hope you feel better soon! xx
