Hi everyone,

I have an elderly guinea pig named Chipychanga and he is 7 years old. He has had teeth surgery 4 times for maloclussion. Anyways he is eating really well but for some reason losing weight. He also has 3 bladder stones that he gets pain meds every day for as he will not be having surgery to remove them. So I guess he is on palliative care.

I just feel sad because today he has lost more weight and is only 1 lb and 14 oz. :( I'm going to the vets tomorrow with my 2 girl pigs for a check up and I'm going to talk to the Vets about him. Poor old man.8...

Poor fella, seems mean that one piggy can have three stones and needs dentals, thinking of you today, its just devastating seeing them going downhill.

I have never had a piggy get past three and a half, seven would be amazing, hope he is comfortable xx

Yeah he has had a lot to contend with, poor old fellow. He is my buddy. He is the one in my avatar. Everyone just loves him. He's such a special fellow and gets along with all my pigs, always has. I don't think he has a mean bone in him.

I love all my piggies but he is definitely a special boy and we have a special bond.

Poor old boy. Amazing to get to 7 though, he's obviously been loved and very happy. I guess you have to enjoy what time you have left and do the right thing by him. It's so heartbreaking when we lose one of our babies. He's lucky to have you as his mum x
