Feet Licking!

hey i’m a new guinea pig owner here and i was just wondering about why does my piggy chew on his feet so much? he will also rub them on his face and then he bites his side all in a cycle. he does this about 5 times a day and i was just wondering if everything is alright! thanks for the support and answers!

If hes doing it 5 times a day its probably not grooming, he might have mites or a nasty infection on his foot/feet. Would you be able to pick him up and inspect his feet? If it has a scab then it might be bumblefoot. Please take your guinea to the vet.

i’m sorry i meant to put 3! sorry for the typo but is that still an excessive amount? thanks for the help! i also checked and he doesn’t have anything on his feet.

3 times a day doing that is normal, my Alfie grooms himself about that much each day. If he doesbt have anything on his feet than it is just probably him grooming
