As regular followers of the forum will know, my own rescued Felix was recently bereaved when his wife Angel was helped to the Rainbow Bridge. After a few days to mourn his loss, Felix went dating at his Auntie Helen’s @The Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue house.
He tried very gently to woo Squirrel’s widow (but she would have none of him and sorted him out good and proper). To say we were disappointed that the date bombed was an understatement. But, dear readers, have no fear - Juliet (as she is now named) will be staying within the rescue as she’s gone off with her Auntie @Flutterby and will no doubt appear on this forum in a few weeks.
There was no point trying him with Heidi as neither Helen nor I were prepared to give our beloved pigs up (even to each other).
As luck would have it Helen had take in a recently surrendered single 2 year old boar. This little boar, when he arrived, was found to be lacking testicles and was in fact a young sow. So Felix had a second chance to practise his best boarly rumbles and butt wiggles with Evie, who thought he was rather a catch and decided to come home with us.
The newlyweds have had a bit of getting to know each other time and agreed to pose for the cameras so here they are. She’s quite confident for a piggy who’s always lived alone and is already a bit of a favourite with MrA. Be prepared for some piggy spam (no apologies whatsoever).
