female fur?

ok this may sound abit strange but baby honey has a small amount of matted fur at the bottom of her spine/behind her bottom, boo boo also had this for a couple of months before she died on monday. i dont want any bactiera getting into honeys bottom and causing her problems too

my little chap wriggle doesnt have this though and i have been grooming honeys fur nightly to try and get it clean and matt free again for her

is this common for female piggies to have or do i need to keep a really watchfull eye and groom daily? honey has short fur by the way just like boo boo did xx
 
Hmm, I've never had this with any of my girls...Did you post before that your boy was mounting her? Could that be causing it?
 
I think this may have something to do with their grease gland which is situated just above their rear end

This can be cleaned with Swarfega as it breaks down the grease. I am not saying that this is what it definately is but this can occur in piggies

I am sure someone will be along soon who could shed some more light on this - I know our two boys get greasy glands and we have to clean them when it starts to appear

I have never seen any of my girls suffering from a grease gland!

They have probably just sat where they peed and got wet in the process.
