Little Piglets
Junior Guinea Pig
My male pig, has been growing like crazy, and is roughly 2 weeks older than a female I got after him (separated) and she's around the 6 week mark, and he's probably 8 weeks roughly. I do the daily veggies with a ton of variety including some fruits if they'll eat them, in equal portions for both of their identical food bowls, same pellets for both, tons of Timmy hay (recently started adding alfalfa as both are young) and she's barely grown despite eating as much as him along with plenty of Vit. C. Her droppings are still WAY smaller as well vs. his massive pellet-like logs he's spits out like they were coming off a conveyor belt. She has no bulge in the rear/sides and shouldn't be pregnant though her rear hips seem a tad wide when she's compact vs. her shoulders. If she stretches out on my lap (trying to mimic a ferret
), she's a little over 9", but standing and compacted, she's maybe 6"? Male seems to be around 8" compacted and probably weighs twice as much as her.
While I'm thinking she might have been a runt, the fact she can seemingly eat as much as the male, while not really growing or putting on weight, has me curious how normal that might be? Even her feet are staying dainty, like Wilma Flinstone feet. She's definitely nimble and runs through her piping sections like a hopped up hamster, so she might have a high metabolism, but just so dainty.
