My guinea pigs (both girls) are about 3 months old. In the initial stages to getting them, one (the largest) would always be trying to hump and chase the littlest one. This all settled down and dominance was established.
Over the last 3-4 days however, the littlest one is continuously rumble strutting, blocking the entrances to hideys to stop the other one entering (all my hideys have two entrances), stealing her food that she is eating and generally being a bit of a pain. She has always been quite timid out of the two but was just starting to come out when we were around and approaching us to eat food out of her hands but now she has gone back the other way and just sits in the corner looking grumpy and rumbling.
Could this be that she is in season? How long can I expect this to last?
I haven’t seen any actual fighting as of yet. The biggest one just keeps on chatting away while the littlest is rumble strutting and acting all grumpy but they both do occasionally lift their heads up or nudge each other with their noses. I’m worried about them getting in to a full blown fight. What sorts of signs should I be looking out for?

I hope so. It’s definitely been going on for longer than 2 days. It started Tuesday or Wednesday
