female rumble-strutting...

so... ive finally mixed all my females and oliver(neutered bore)...
so that makes 5 females and one male...
and scratch one of my females i mixed in today was actually rumblestrutting at oliver... i have to say it was very entertaining as shes half his size...
i've never actually seen a female rumble strutting before when i hear it in my house i always put it down to one of the two pairs of bores...
it did make me smile when nuzzle had obviously had enough of oliver dominance humping and cleo come over and kicked his ass... :))
they have all gotten on really well so far...

but does anyone elses guinea girls rumble strut...?
ive never noticed it before...

haha.... i've never noticed it... but theres never been any dominance issues between any of my lot.... they always sorted it out...
i've seen a bit of teeth chattering and bum nipping and humping from both bores and sows...
but ive only ever seen my boys rumble strutting... i swear its all oliver does...!.... haha...

phoebe my smallest female rumbles and mounts all her fellow pigmates and she has a deeper rumble than my boars! also most of my girls will mount fellow girls and boar if they're in season and are not having there needs met lol :)
 
My 2 girls have got into the habit of rumble strutting just recently, they only used to do it when they were in heat but now it seems to be all the time. They get really tetchy with each other sometimes.
 
Girl can rumblestrut at boars - and even hump them!

You should have seen my Llewelyn's expression the first time it happenend to him! :(|)

haha....
oliver looked slightly beamused at scratch rumblestrutting at him... i just love the way they look after eachother... thats what gets me... becuase although oliver thinks he's boss... cleo's actually boss...:))... and she keeps him in line if anything happens shes always getting involved and litterally getting inbetween the two that are squabbling...!
its so fasinating to watch...!

Our new girl Rosie (after she had settled in) tries it with all the girls in the group even Panda. Rosie weighs in at about 800g and Panda nearly 1600g. It is really funny to watch. :))
 
Whiskey has always done it, when I knew much less than I do now about guineas I thought she was shivering or something!

She was doing it ten minutes ago, with her it's all mouth and no trousers tho, soon as anyone challenges her she runs off screaming!

i hear it oftern enough but with 4 boys in the house 2 of them at the kevin and perry stage of life... i just always assumed it was them... :))
it was olivers expression that did me in...
hes about 3 and scratch is only 6 months and shes litterally half his size... and she come sizing up to him with her bum going and making quite a racket... and he jsut looks at her and walks off... haha... :))
funny little creatures....!

yep, Milkshake is the dominant one of the herd of girls here and does it quite a bit. She got out of her cozy the wrong side yesterday and spent most of the day strutting about and being bossy rolleyes

i ahve never really noticed it... all my girlies are quite docile...
even cleo has come down a notch or two... but she never rumblestutted... she prefers weeing at the other girls and on occasions oliver... poor boy... he gets this 5 times over now...
