I am sure that I have read that its ok to give guineas fennel but, just want to check that it really is ok with it been a bulb veg and looking like its related to the onion.
I ead somewhere on here, that someone gives it to their piggies with the green fluffy bits still on.
Never tried mine with it, but would if it was on offer.
Piggies all happily munching through fennel, though Sweep seems to prefer the leaves rather than the veg its self. Lidils fennel is quite cheap, well compared to Tesco anyway!
Yeah! Fennel is definitely OK. As are chives which are actually from the onion family (am baffled!) Glad to know they like it and it's cheap near you. It's good to give them different stuff now and again. O0
I grow my own and they love it. They prefer the top part of the plant (which is better for them) to the bulb and the shed smells divine afterwards! Home Grown Fennel and Caprice ... this was just part of the top LOL!
