To house piggies in but I wondered if I should try and sell as a spare for when cleaning out maybe? Someone gave it to us a few yrs back and I used it for a very short time when the girls were tiny and they were outdoors as a temp indoor cage before we got c&c cage..
We just found it in the shed and have no need for it.. other half says sell it but I am concerned about the size 47cm wide by 76cm long ( too small to house) as wouldn't want someone to think it was ok... i would rather ask a rescue if they could make use of it.... another argument i dont need in this house! What would you do??

Good plan but we could do with the space... I do have an indoor run which could be used in that kind of emergency situation...
Grow grass in it outside? Or just dump it. If i um and arr about wantinf something. I jus stamp on it and break it. Then my mind is made up lol. I'm strange

We have one of these and I'm never sure what to do with either, I folded the wire bit flat and shoved it under my bed, I've used it as a hospital cage a couple of times and a quarantine cage for new piggies... if you really dont need it I'd say give it to a rescue, or they can actually be taken to a recycling centre with the base going in hard plastics and the cage bit in scrap metal, thats what we did with Theo's original cage that size which was a bit yucky! We just asked the chap at the recycling centre where each bit should go and it wasn't in the non-recyclable bit :)

I personally wouldn't sell it, just becasue someone may ignore your advice and think it is ok to use as a full time cage.
That's my worry... people just don't listen! Not sure if it would be ok for hamsters as the wire on the top looks like the gaps are too wide... safer to tip it or ask the rescue if they can use it...
