Hi, I recently posted asking about suitable outdoor hutches and was advised to speak to rescues to check what their recommendations were before purchasing. Well, following that I was advised that we would need to keep them indoors until the weather warms up or wait to rehome. As I'm impatient and my daughter has inherited this trait from me, I've had a move round and have made space in our kitchen to fit an indoor cage for the next few months.

I then hunted Facebook marketplace and thought I'd found a Ferplast 160 based on the sellers measurements, which when my husband brought it home actually turned out to be the 140 version 😔 My question is will this be OK? It's 140 x 60, we were looking at 2 boars but thinking that this isn't going to be big enough?

Interested to hear your thoughts. Thank you 😊

A 140x60cm isn’t ideal - 150x60cm being the recommended minimum for two boars, and 180x60cm being the perfect size (although there are no commercial cages which come in at that size so a c&c cage is usually needed) - But it’s also not completely terrible.

Older boys may be ok with a slightly smaller size - I just know from experience that a 150x70cm was too small for two of my boys when they were youngsters.

Amazing thank you! Do you know if you can join 2 140s together? Not that I have space for that (yet 🤣) x
