Morning all

I was just wondering if anyone out there uses a Ferplast Sippy bottle. I got one a month ago as when the boys eventually get their new house they would need a bottle attached by suction cups. I wanted to introduce them to it in their old hutch along with their traditional bottle so I knew they could use it.

The instructions said that it would drip for a couple of days, but a month on it is still causing such a mess and I have no idea how much the boys are drinking or even if they are drinking from it at all.

Has anyone else had this problem with it? Does anyone know how to stop it leaking?

Have you filled it right to the top to create a vacuum? That usually helps.
Unfortunately the plastic ones do tend to drip more in my experience. Is there any way you could rig up a customised holder for a glass one if the ones that they come with don't work with your cage?
It may also be faulty - worth considering asking for a replacement.

Ahhh - hadn't thought of the vacuum - will give that a try. The traditional plastic one doesn't leak at all so I might have to try to figure out a holder somehow.

we have a plastic water bottle in the big boys cage that seems to do nothing but drip, so when we recently got our 2 new boys we got a "living world" glass water bottle that claimed to be anti drip....which I'm pleased to say seems to be true! They are a little more expensive but worth it when i don't have to constantly clean out a very wet corner, I will be getting one for my big boys asap.

I don't know if the vacuum thing works on the ferplast sippy bottles. I have found mine leaks occasionally but then is fine most of the time. Have you given it a good clean ? I found sometimes mine works better after cleaning, don't know if it may be a bit of food etc in the spout that sometimes causes it. Sorry this isn't a great deal of help

I don't think its a blockage issue - I have taken it apart and cleaned it but it has dripped since I first got it. Might just have to abandon it because it is wasting a load of fitch by making it wet.
