ferplast120 or nero 4?

Hi Sue,

If I am not mistaken I think the Ferplast ones have collapsable cage lids (I have two like this) and they are a right pain to manoeuvre around. I don't have Nero 4's but I do have some Nero 3's and I like the lids on them.

I would say Nero 4 only because of the lids!

Oh mine aren't like that just like the Nero's only a section opens. I know the ones you mean now Graham. No don't like the idea of that either. :)

God knows what my cages are them 4x2 with collapsable cage lids! rolleyes :))

yes I just got nero 4 think it is brillant & I have the stand to go with it! p@h were doing an offer where you get free kit worth £26 you get a timmy hay, meadow hay, gp nuggets, pottery food bowl, giant bottle (yes that means you will have two as one comes with it also) and you get a bottle thing which keeps water at good temp. It finishes tomorrow I think so get on down there.

When I went in they put it through til and it didn't work they tried to tell me it wasn't on neros but in end they let me have it anyway. It def does apply to nero's as is on the website but may be worth taking a printout just in case! good luck

I have a nero 4 and love it, its on my floor so to clean i just open up the top and scoop everything out, i had one of those that the whole front opened and i didnt like it i dunno if its the same as that but the lid came down at an angle over the front of the cage so it made storing hay/food etc difficult as i keep it on the top of the cages.

the nero 4 is nice a roomy my girls love theirs :)

The thing I like about Nero's over some of the Ferplast cages is that the plastic base of the Nero is smooth and very easily cleanable. Three of the Ferplast cages I have, have bases that are 'little squares' and they are a beggar to clean as stuff gets stuck in them, so I use a toothbrush to clean each one! x

Hiya,
my preference is the Ferplast because when i open the cage to get her out she can come out safely and she has more often than not jumped back into her cage so it safer as the whole of that side is open. if you get what i mean.

also i prefer the colours. i have not seen a nero is a subtle colour, only in bright red or blue.

Oh and my lid isnt colapsable. there are black corner plastic bits so i expect it can be collapsed if you remove these but in the 7 months i have had mine it has never collapsed on me ;)

seems I'm the only one who prefers the ferplast :red

I have a ferplast which the girls came in when I adopted them and its ok but prefer the nero`s. I only use it to pop my four into when I clean their c & c out. The whole front does open and nosy Daisy definately would jump over the side so its a `no` for a permanent cage from me ;)

I have two of the ones that Rainbow sky has, but I have taken the house thing out. I prefer to make up houses and climby things myself. These are quite low though so not as much room to build stuff in. I also have Nero 4's and 3's. I like the height that these give you to make adventure stuff inside. x

I brought a nero 4 yesterday - is it possible to actually love a cage lol...it is just fab and although I was only going to spend £60 tops on a new cage I couldnt resist....would highly recommend! - will be getting the stand next week
I used to have a ferplast jenny for 2rats I had, and agree with another poster about the squares that are in the plastic base - they were a nightmare, I had to lug it to the bath room to hose it down.
I also have a zoozone 3 cage for one of my boys....its a nice big cage for one only tho, plus the bonus with the nero's is you can open from the top and the front - abit less daunting for the piggies...

I have a Nero 3 cage and I think it's great - however, I really need a bigger cage for my girls and because the Nero cages are so expensive I'm going to attempt at building them a c&c cage. Which also means that I can extend it at some point too. I'm just waiting on B&Q getting the grids in.
