Ferret treat ball

do you think guinea pigs would like these, you open them and put treats in them

the slits and holes are bigger then they look in this picture

I've got one of these for my pigs amongst a pile of toys and they actually quite enjoy it. Will try and get a video of them using it tomorrow.
 
Had often wondered if the pigs would bother with these - would love to see video!

Mine like their willow balls but one of them got its head stuck in it so I've taken it away until its head gets bigger!

Aaww - what a wee shame! ;D

Think I might get these treat balls for my girls - I'm always looking for new ways to keep them entertained especially as one of them doesn't ever come out the cage unless I pick her up (when I'm home I always leave the cage door open so that they can have free roam of the house)
 
Wow, they're really going for it! Hadn't thought about putting veg in it, will look out for one now -where did you get yours?

A local garden centre, they sell some quite specialist pet supplies including Oxbow products and megazorb. Not sure if any of the chain stores keep them.

I don't tend to keep it in the cage when I'm not there as I'm paranoid someone will get a foot caught in it but have never had it happen.
 
Thanks for that, I'll have a look for one...

After the head-in-willow-ball incident I don't think I'd leave the treat ball in if I wasn't there either, just in case!

aww DSL your piggies are so sweet! look at them going for that ball! I think I'll get one for my pigs too, gets rid of boredom

Bart is the coronet - he's the (neutered) boy and he thinks he's the boss. However, it's really only him, Rosie (rex) and Bramble (aby) who are interested in it. Bonnie will only use it when the food is easy enough to get to when the ball is full, same with Lucy. FAR too much effort otherwise ;D.
