my piggies feet are sometimes quite red (pics below). they are really red when she is running about the house and when in the cage. thought it might be the wooden surfaces she jumps on. so covered them with fleece. hasnt made much difference.. but the cage loks nicer! lol. they are not red when shes out on the lawn.. so possibly red as a mechanism for loosing heat? do they have sweat glands on their feet?

urm secondly, her coat seems to be growing random white hairs for the past few months?(pic below) sign of getting older? (shes one this week)

Her feet look normal and healthy, not a sore red. Feet tend to get pinker when warmer - same with pink ears.

The white hairs could be age related - some pigs get grey/white hairs as they age, most commonly from the age of 4 plus (the official senior years). But, as with humans, some will get grey/white hairs a lot earlier!

It could also just be the way your pigs hair is set to grow out. Jasmine got many white hairs running through the chocolate hair on her face when she was about 9 months, leaving quite a roaning effect.

She's gorgeous! Look at that nose! Yeah I thought this about Pudsey at the weekend. PEter my better half said it was normal, it just looks like that as well! :)

As for the hair I have a black pig that has a few white hairs running through her, she was made this way. :) She is only. :)
