Just got a few questions about my lovley piggies :smitten:

I think the brown one is a girl now... but at night I can hear one of the babies rumbling ? what does this mean?
Also... tomorow Stinky Mr Wilson is having a bath... I might pop Angus in there too... he smells :-\ lol
Would it be okay to bathe Cindy... the bubs are 9 days old... will she reject them If I bathe her?

Thanks everyone! :)

Sounds like the little fella is getting frisky! ::) men hey!

I wouldn't recommend bathing the babies, not unless it's absolutely necessary ie... parastic, fungal etc.. I *think* anything after 3 months is ok, though I'm sure someone will correct this if I'm wrong :)

You can get mini pig shampoo from GG for babies under 3 months which is much milder than the adult ones.

I was only going to bathe the adults :) I'm too scared of drowning the bubbies ;D
If I bathe Cindy... will she still care for her babies?

Sorry misread your post :embarassed:

I don't think it's advisable to bathe nursing mothers, I know they advice against bathing them when pregnant but I could be wrong. Will check! :)

Its okay ;) I probably wrote it in a weird way ;D

so once the babies are seperated... I can bathe her?

Also... What if the brown baby is a girl? Do I have to wait until she has stopped nursing?

Sorry.. so many questions ;D

Yes that's no problem :)

Also... What if the brown baby is a girl? Do I have to wait until she has stopped nursing?

I would do, she will continue when her brothers gone for a while longer, till mum gets fed up usually! ;D

;D cool thanks!

Ive tried sexing the brown one for the hundreth time!
I cant seem to tell!
It looks like a boy and a girl! Ill get my aunty to have a ook... otherwise ive got no idea :( the cream one is a definate boy though ;D

When seperated should he go...
on his own
with wilson
wth Angus
or with Wilson and Angus? :) thanks! lol

You shouldn't bath nursing mothers (nursing mothers will not reject their babies, but it really isn't any good for them), baby guinea pigs (I know you wouldn't) or young guinea pigs e.g. Angus. I personally don't bath my guineas before they are six months, unless they are long haired. Three months would be fine to bath Angus for his first time, I would not advise any younger then this, unless like Beks has said they have a medical condition or are really grubby (if they were really grubby I would just use water). You should wait to bath Cindy after she has stopped nursing, or after you have taken both babies away. Like Beks has said the rumbling noise the baby is making means he is getting frisky, I would put him in with Wilson when it is time for him to leave Cindy. O0
