Ffion died suddenly and completely unexpectedly during a vet visit this afternoon; the added stress of the examination must have been too much for her. She'd been a bit on the quiet side yesterday and then didn't turn up for the group dinner and only nibbled on a bit of sweetcorn (her favourite) and hay. This morning, she didn't want to eat at all and was rather lethargic, so I booked her in at the vets.

I was worried, as I'd found some buttercup leaves amongst the dandelions a neighbour had collected for the piggies. I always thoroughly rinse and look at the leaves before handing them out, but one may have escaped my attention.
I will never know now.

It was an utterly devastating experience seeing her passing away so quickly (but peacefully) under my hands. I am feeling still very dazed and am struggling to take it in.
 
I'm so sorry! I'm quite speechless, just wanted to send a big hug to you and the tribe.

Wiebke, I am so sorry to hear this. I can only imagine how devastated you must feel.
 
Oh no, I'm so sorry. How awful for you. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing it was a peaceful passing and you were there with her at the end. Lots of hugs for you and the rest of the tribe. xx
 
oh i'm so so sorry. what an utterly awful experience. i know the feeling with the vet trip, and i'm utterly gutted for you. she was an absolutely gorgeous little girl, and will be missed by all, including those of us on here who followed her antics.

OMG I am so sorry. It must have been a terrible shock for you. Please don't blame yourself, I'm sure it had nothing to do with the leaves. I think because it has happened so suddenly you are looking for reasons. Sometimes its just their time and thats it. You have given her a first class life and then some. She has known love and kindness and has had the best. Sending healing hugs.
 
I'm so sorry Wiebke, I loved seeing Ffion pigtures. I can't imagine how your feeling.

She was such a character, she will be dearly missed by many.

I'm desperately saddened to hear about Ffion - your Tribe are very special to us all here in the Forum, and we will all miss her so much. The fact that she passed so unexpectedly just adds to the shock.

RIP dear little girl - I'm so glad I knew you.

And many hugs to you Wiebke, this is so hard on you.

When I first heard about it from you I was speechless, and like you, I couldn't really take it in.8...8... It was just so sudden. And now that you actually made a thread about it, I'm extremely saddened to read the news.:( I'm so so sorry your beloved Ffion has passed. xx She was a lovely, cheeky girl that nobody can forget.x) We are all very lucky to have had you share all her stories and pictures with us.
