Hi,
I'm new here so hello ☺
Wonder if anyone can guide me regarding my pig Oreo.
Lately he's not behaving like he would usually while having his lap time. He sat nicely for about five minutes on my lap earlier while munching some veg then all of a sudden he starts twitching and fidgeting all over the place...especially when I touch him , literally just a slight touch sends him into a frenzy. I can see his heart race and he just won't settle. Any ideas because this is so out of character for him, he's usually quite happy to just sit and be fussed. Considering a vet visit although he's eating and drinking fine.

Hi and welcome!

How long have you had Oreo had for and how old is he?
If you haven't had him for all that long, then it is just him getting over his initial instinct of letting a predator play with him to hopefully escape with his life if the predator is getting bored rather quickly and he is now starting to trust you enough to tell you that he doesn't actually like being cuddled all that much.
Sudden wiggling is also often the sign of needing to go to the toilet.

If you have had Oreo for a long time and he is comfy with being handled and cuddled, but has suddenly stopped so, then I would have him checked by a vet for mange mites. The first sign of them can be an unwillingness to have the painful skin touched.
