Fifi has gone on her last journey today, it was mostly peaceful although she did complain about the sedation injection. Fifi was 6 years and four months old and had been showing signs for a while that all was not well, but in the last couple of days had stopped eating her usual amount, and had been very quiet. When she was examined the vet said she had a very large ovarian cyst, alongside something else that was making her abdomen very sore. All in all, it was just too much for an elderly frail piggy and we let her go there & then.
She leaves behind Pippa, who is 7 years old but still doing very well. I am going away next week and I am hoping that Pippa will be OK to wait for new friends until I come back. My partner is going to be looking after her while I am not here so she will not be with strangers.
