i have 3 girls
amber and her baby whos 8 weeks pld annie
and lola...
amber and lola seem to be fightin alot
no squeaks or anything like that its just scuffling around and like putti g faces to each ither i dont think there has been any biting or anything
**** i split them

If it is just squabbling then this is perfectly normal with guinea pigs. They may be trying to establish a new hierarchy due to the new baby. There is no need to split them unless they draw blood.

This is not unusual for mums with freshly weaned babies. When sows have babies, they get instantly a special protected stated in the hierarchy, irrespective of their original status. This is withdrawn again once the babies are weaned and dominance disputes ensue to set up the new hierarchy. Most mums are of course not happy at all to lose their privileges again!
