Filing Nails

Had the piggies to the vet to get their nails clipped and the nurse said that because they live on fleece they have nothing to file their nails down on and I should buy a nail file like they use on dogs. I went to two pet shops and neither supply any sort of files. Can I just use a regular metal human file?

Never heard of filling a pigs nails before, a simple trim even few weeks is all that's usualy nessessary.

There should be a nail cutting guide some were on the foram

I got a guinea pig nail file from pets at home but I find it very difficult to use.
