Finally found Penny's backstory

Yesterday I found an article that talked about an animal hoarding situation last year.
I was scrolling through the photos and saw this.

I couldn't believe it was Penny. I would be lying if I said I didn't tear up a bit.
She was part of one of the largest animal hoarding situations in my state. I'm still blown away! I just emailed the animal shelter that rescued her to say thank you.
When I see that photo, it makes me think that this is the reason I adopt. I'm so glad I got Penny ❤

It is horrible when you find out their backgrounds sometimes, but don’t dwell on their past just remember the great current life and future they have with you now.
