Finally found some decent piggy hay racks!

Pootling round Lidl (as you do) and I spotted something that I think were called shelf racks - £5 for two... Basically they're meant to slip onto shelves to give some extra storage space under the shelf. Used vertically rather than horizontally though - perfect hay rack!

(Excuse the mess, doesn't take long for those pigs to mess up!)

They need lowering a little which we're gonna do when I replace that wood with correx, but I love them already. Definitely going to go and get two or four more tomorrow so the herd can have two more and my hutches can have one each, I think they're fab!

They look really good and will last compared to the plastic ones! Thanks for sharing, we are getting a lidl near us soon so I will keep an eye out.

These look great! Never thought of using undershelf storage. I could do with a couple of these for my girls pen. Ummm, maybe a trip to the nearest Lidl (no idea where it is I have never been to one!) is needed. :))

They're really good, especially if you have a group of piggies! Every time I go out shooping I've had my eyes peeled for something that'd make a decent hay rack - commerical ones are just nowhere near big enough. The piggy on the bridge is a fully grown guinea pig and quite a big girl, so these 'hay racks' are a great size for the price - and you get two!

Also means I can start getting some 'posher' hay and it wont get wasted on the floor - lovely!

Which reminds me, I need to go fill them up! :)

Did you see smaller ones? I've already got my hayrack which also houses their bottle (they're in a coop so there isn't wire to hang it from) and i'm looking for a small 'hay rack' to put their bottle in as it'll need raising when they get bigger.

Great idea - my son has these for his odds and sods in his room...wonder if he'd miss them...:x
Brilliant what things you can buy and use for the piggies (and save a lot of pennies)
