After wanting Guinea Pigs for around 3 or 4 months now my Mum and Dad finally agreed! I've done lots of research but I need a few tips! I'm going to be getting a 5x2 cage and I'm going to look around before rushing into getting Piggies. If anybody could let me know some advice, that would be amazing! Thank you!

Exciting stuff! As above, start a vet fund. If possible, go to a (reputable) rescue where you will be able to adopt a pair that is already bonded and health checked. In other words, no unexpected missexing, pregnancies or illnesses. If you go down the rescue route, it would be best to wait until you’re approved before you buy a hutch. Some are particular about th space requirements and you don’t want to ‘spend twice’.
You also need to consider whether you’ll be housing them in or outdoors. If the latter, it’s too late to do that now. And a lot of rescues wouldn’t let you adopt now if they’re to live outdoors.
Also find a good vet near you.

That’s great. Keep on saving though. You’d hate not to have enough if they do get ill.
