with billy. He's finally decided being picked up and stuffed with food isn't all that bad afterall. Had him since April and think we've finally bonded. For the past week he hasn't struggled to get out of my arms and I can stroke his head while he's in the cage now. Think he's taking some tips from Freddie who is a big cuddle monster. Lovely to see him finally coming out of his shell and bonding with me now. Think he's around 6 months old so maybe he's out of the wary, skittish, baby stage now. He loves his food but even me tempting him with food at lap time didn't stop him trying to make a dive for the floor! But at least we are getting somewhere now :)

If its any consolation my little Grace was like a mini spitfire - I struggled to get her to relax for about 6months.
She's now about 5yrs old &will come over when she's called.

They all go into their box or pigloo when told its bedtime if they're in the run.

Grace Is always the first to come out to Have a cuddle then before going back in the hutch, she usually
Takes a running jump from their box to the crook of my arm &snuggles in :wub:

Patience &you'll get there eventually :nod:
Xx

he seems to be very relaxed and at ease! you are doing a great job! and good results are coming.... :love:

Aww so cute. Can't wait until I'm more bonded with mine. Only had them a few days so they're still a bit jumpy.

It's lovely when they start coming out of their shell isn't it :) I'm so glad he's calmed down. At least he's not trying to jump out of my arms and scratching my neck anymore lol

The worst behaved piggy I've had was called fudge, he used to attack us all the time. If anyone put a hand in the cage he would go for us. He took me along time to calm him down but by the end of it he was an absolute angel. One of my favourite guinea pigs. Unfortunately he passed away 15 months after getting him but he was definitely worth all the time and effort as he had a bad start in life, he was passed around at least twice before I got him due to him biting. I'm very grateful to have had him in my life and brought out the best in him and I hope I can do the same for billy :) x

Oh bless him, it's lovely when you get a bond like this :luv:
Check out those lips! :drool::wub:
