Wanted to have a bigger space for our pigs To have some run time in the evenings when everything settles down in the house (read the kids are in bed) so brought this from our local pet food shop for £20. They seem to really be enjoying it and our boys managed to sit in with them for a bit to try and get the pigs used to them.

Also somehow managed to steer a conversation into a place where my hubby has offered up under the stairs to the piggies! They'd get quite a bit of floor space then, not sure how I managed that but I'm happy lol!

That looks good ! Not bad price, where was it from... Thinking of winter floor time.. They have not been in their outside run much due to the inconsistent weather ! They do run about in their c&c cage a lot..

It was from jollies artcasper.

They've been out in the run every day since we bought it, the boys have enjoyed having them out although scabbers is a biter it seems. Is it normal for a guinea pig to nibble toes and bite?

Lots of space for your little ones, they are gorgeous:love:

As for the biting. We had a biter Vimto, she is now nearly reformed and does not always try to taste zeeee blood or zeeee flesh now...

Some piggies while fine in the cage and interacting on their terms with you but when on laps feel a little vulnerable, the nibbles are her way of telling you she does not like it. I used to get actual snaps off Vimto and she would draw blood too :(
She was just a very scared piggie and felt vulnerable on laps, she didn't appear frightened (but obviously was) but she was confident enough with me not just to freeze and it was here way of saying 'please put me home i don't like this'. We worked at it and would take her out for 30 seconds then pop here home, we did this 3 times a week for around a month weeks, then slowly increased it up to 5 mins via 30 second increments . Each lap session she'd have a sprig of coriander. It took us 6-8 months but she doesn't bite now and will happily chill on laps for a while but not for too long :)) We would never let anyone else have Vimto on there lap in case she wanted to taste the forbidden flesh once more :))
