Little Piggles
Senior Guinea Pig
'Polly' has been with us about six weeks or so now and as much as it was love at first sight with her, we were never fond of her name (partly because there was a girl in Simon's class at school called Polly)
We have had a list of names as long as your arm, but couldn't settle on anything. Amongst many other names I liked Harley, Simon liked Persil. Through a strange chain of thought we finally decided on a new name about a week ago..
Our baby pig is now Hettie
She's getting braver by the day and will now take food from your hand, as long as you're at full reach
She hates being on her own and will shout and shout as soon as she realises nobody else is in the hutch or run. And boy can she shout loud!
She is a little wary of Marmite, but seems to love living in a little herd and is especially fond of Willow and Boris
(Clockwise from bottom > Willow, Pippa, Pixel, Marmite, Boris and Hettie)
...As well as people!
She'll always be my Polly-Pocket though I think
