So, when I was in hospital and in respite, nobody was grooming Blitzen. You can imagine how well that worked out. Well, having managed to cut most of it out tonight, this is the result. He mostly sat and let me do it but he is as unimpressed with me for it as ever.

I don't really blame the person looking after them, because he is a handful, I get that. But this shows the definite need for grooming and with a bit of luck, he'll never have to sit with something like this again.

Awww he look's very well groomed now. Lol was that hay twisted up in his fur? My two won't sit still for any sort of grooming, I had to cut out a mini dread lock the other day on Coco's stomach lol.

Yup. He has my nerves frazzled lol, but he sat relatively still for most of it. I was dreading him moving at the wrong moment and I was still iffy about cutting him out, but then I noticed he had another tangle starting with the hay and realised I'd better suck it up. I didn't get all of it either, but I wasn't taking those scissors any closer to his body.

The sheer amount of hay he gets trapped in there is ridiculous though. O.o

Thank you! I spied Comet barbering him today. That's new for them both as far as I know, but it's good to see.

I tried looking for the stump of the knot this morning, to see how much more needed to come off, but I couldn't find it. Maybe Comet finished my job for me?

Awww handsome little guy!
