Junior Guinea Pig
Hi everyone.
I recently lost my handsome little man Jaffa around 2 weeks ago.
His little friend has been left behind.
Fudge is believed to have Osteodystrophy (satins disease). He’s fed through a syringe due to the disease effecting his jaw & is on painkillers which he has twice a day.
Since Jaffa passed, fudge hasnt changed much at all. He’s been eating much the same, if not more & he’s been perky and happy.
However, when I look at him sitting in the cage all on his own I can’t help but feel sad for him.
He has a stuffed guinea pig Teddy which sits in the cage in his bed but I feel as though I'm being cruel by wanting to keep him on his own.
I’m aware that guinea pigs love to have a companion, but I’m worried that introducing a new friend could cause distress & have the opposite effect on fudge.
What should I do?
