Finding it hard to pick him up

One of my boys called Starlight is tricky to pick up. When I start to lift him he will tuck his chin down between his front feet and then stick his back legs out so I cant secure his rear, clever or what!
Does anyone have a similar experience or any handling advice?

@Richard Pashley You can herd him into a bed or cosey to pick him up. That sometimes helps them feel safer.

I always pick my boy up in his bed, just have to be careful they don't try to dash out

I found that placing an old tea towel over the top of him, including his head, and then I slowly picked him up.
it seems this method works well as Starlight feels more secure and it reduces his nerves.
I did try a cosy but he's too clever and won't go in when I approach almost knowing whats coming.
