I’m feeling incredibly nervous (as well as excited) because tomorrow I’m taking Toffee to meet a possible new lady friend.
Since we lost Biscuit on 15th December he’s been doing ok on his own but the cage looks so empty with just him in it and he obviously needs piggy company so just after Christmas I contacted a couple of rescues. I didn’t expect a quick response but one of them sent me an application form to fill in, and after a bit of discussion they said they have two single females who might be suitable so Toffee’s going to meet them.
Just praying and keeping everything crossed that it all works out and he likes one of them and they like him

. I never stop learning with guinea pigs
(Well I think so anyway) She's very shy at the moment, only comes out of her hidey when I'm not around . As soon as I come into the room she dashes for cover again but it's very early days so I'm hoping once she's settled in this will improve. There's a little bit of chasing and squeaking going on but as far as I can tell it's pretty normal. The rescue said she has never lived with a boar before so I suppose it takes a bit of getting used to
