Fingers crossed to bond

Right, we are all in together, there is a lot of teeth chattering and rumbling! We've had some nipping from Spaghetti and then Pig was washing his face. Noodle on the other hand is not really interested.
 
Spaghetti is not Playing nice, she appears to very much want to be top pig. There is lots of chasing and a bit of open mouthed chattering, followed by a moment's calm
 
So I can report that we have not bonded. Noodle was quite content to leave him alone but Spaghetti was not having it, she flew at him and has drawn blood so that is a resounding failure I feel. ☹
But it is not all bad news, having discussed with Pigs mum what the best thing to do is going forward, we have agreed that he will stay and they will live alongside each other.
That is also the most stressful hour I have ever spent with the guinea pigs!
 
Aw, so sorry for you. What is it with these dominate girls? This sounds very similar to our failed bond although Posh flew at Ginger who seemed fine (she was the one I was most concerned about not bonding) but no the top pig had to spoil it?
Anyway never mind, you have still got Pig and he will be fine and have a happy life with you all x
 
I am so sorry it didn't go to plan for you all. Pig has still got a lovely home and through the bars company though so the result is not all bad.

Thank you, spaghetti did also have a go at Noodle and then once she drew blood on pig it was quite clear things were not going to work☹️.
Thankfully pig is ok, none the worse for the encounter. I was so amazed at how Spaghetti behaved, I always thought she was the under pig but clearly she was not going to be below this newcomer! Still they all seem happy interacting through bars so that's something.
 
What is it with sows? They send out completely different messages to what they are actually thinking? Give me boars, they say it how it is 🙄

Except Red and Brillo, who didn't even rumble strutt or teeth chatter. Still in shock and trying to work out what happened!
