Just a quick reminder to all those who have piggies outside in sheds etc! The fire works have started already here and its not the colourful ones just the nastie big Bangs. I have covered the window and filled their rooms with hay to dive in so hopefully all will be ok O0

Yeah I've topped all pigs up with hay, I know mine are indoors but it does get bad here. :)

The ones here started at about 8 o'clock 98) Midnight I could understand :-\

Ive only just heard some go off and they still are going off now but are quite far away so I'm ok :D

Been quiet tonight but everyone was tucked up with hay and blankets over hutches in the shed as soon as it got dark O0

Only heard one so far and the Chavs next door aren't home but I expect them later. :)

Only heard four so far.
The dog is going crazy, but the pigs have lots of hay and veg to much on. O0

I went out to bring the car in the drive and they are in the distance. I live by a lot of older people who are probably putting their feet up now and watching the tosh that is on BBC1.

Does anyone open their door to bring in the New Year! I'm fighting to stay awake, I'm knackered! :D

i dont as ive never heard that before ? ? ?
Ive heard about if you come home from drinking and you chuck all your change in your door then it brings money :D :D my dad used to do it ;D

I'm not even knackered ? I'm used to staying up this late - i went bed last night at about 3 ish ;D ;D ;D

I used to go to bed at about three when my laptop worked. ;D
I'd spend ages playing Uno with random ppl on msn ;D ;D

;D my laptops not on the internet yet either someone broke the connection somehow
whos computer you on now ? I'm in my mums room on hers (well all of ours) :D

I'm usually a night owl too, haven't had as much caffeine today! ;D

Maybe it's a Northern thing then, I'll open the door and freeze. I've never heard of the change one, though.

In the dinning room on the main puter.
My dads on my mums laptop and my sister won't let me use hers ::)

i put lots of hay in luckily anyway! completely forgot until i heard them in bed then panicked and went to see them! ::)

I think it is a northern thing. I can remember a friend who moved to Wiltshire from Hull went outside with her hubby at midnight expecting to see all the neighbours and it was dead quiet - no-one around ;D ;D She used to think we were really boring down here!

We didn't see new year in, went to bed, too much of an anti-climax unless you're celebrating. Guineas were fine, they're inside and it doesn't seem to bother them. One of the dogs hates it, clawing the carpet and pacing the floor. She's been strange today too. On the way back from a walk she started staggering, when I looked at her eyes they were flicking from side to side really quickly. It was all over though within about 10 seconds. She's not herself and I'm sure it's as a result of the fireworks. Some kind of a fit. I'll keep an eye on her but won't go to the vets yet. She's had something similar years ago and went to the vets but he couldn't find anything.
