Oh dear, fireworks are suddenly going off in close vicinity to our shed. I have just shot out to the piggies, checked they are ok (frightened in their hutch), shut the door of the hutch and pulled the covers down. I hope they feel safer and that their unexpected, sudden, shutting-in isn't worrying them even more.

my boys have never even noticed them but then again they’re inside, hope your piggies ignore them too :)

Our two are still primed to shoot off into their hutch at the slightest thing -- even a shrill bird call provokes it, despite them having spent the summer outside. It's quite interesting because they will be snuffling around in their run looking all relaxed, but are gone in a flash if there is an unexpected sound or movement. My elder has been in there, talking to them, so they seem ok. All very worrying!

Aw hope everyone's pets are staying safe and not too stressed! All my piggies are indoors and the only one who is scared is Ollie pigwig, he's very upset tonight but I gave him a big dinner and some extra hay early at 4pm knowing what would happen and I just passed him a bit of coriander into his hidey house so he knows I'm still here and everything is ok... I remember from.last year I ran our very noisy washing machine all evening to drown out the bangs, so doing that again tonight- I dont really need to wash my bath towels but they are very noisy in a familiar way on the spin cycle so bath towel laundry all evening it is just for Ollie!

Hope your piggies are ok. My boys are indoor piggies. Thought they’d be scared but they’re out of their hidies eating hay. I’ve closed all the curtains and blinds to minimise flashing lights. I hate bonfire night but this year glad to know that families are enjoying themselves

My herd seem fine as do the rabbits and mice (Tarak hamster is still asleep).

Our labrador is a panting shaking mess and our collie has a bark fest at all the loudest ones ...

Hope they are all doing okay!
Our boys are also not bothered but we have not had many and they haven’t been loud luckily! I think that’s the bonus of living in and around a load of high rise blocks, no one has a garden to set them off! 😂

Not starting a thread but putting on here. Hope @KHBz You don't mind.
DAM fireworks . . Ive done what I can to protect my two.
Sat with them for 3 hours and hopefully they calm down now.
The noise banging has upset them very much. ive seen them have little humps and nibbles but tonight they are not fighting at all but very edgy and hiding etc.
Poor loves.
Not a party pooper but Arrrrr

Hope everyone's OK. My boys in shed are OK, one is deaf so that helps! They're used to in now and it's not too bad inside their shed. I've been putting radio in there this past week. They're used to me having radio on,so nothing scary or new.
Indoors the TVs are on, so it breaks it down. They all know the drill and unless something is really close they don't even notice...

If anyone is looking for battery operated radio, this is good.

Oh poor little things. I’m so sorry to hear that it has distressed them so much. I guess it will be fireworks at the weekend as well.

Don't your piggies have their own radio? Naughty boys convinced me it's requirement for these noisy nights.
My boys start squeaking when I turn music on as they know it's cleaning and feeding time, in other words "showtime!" :bronco:

Lucky piggies you have.
Mine put up with my not very manly piggie talk. . .

My poor Yugi is utterly terrified. Eyes wide and very spooked. They are indoor piggies but the cage is beside a window and they sound close. Grabbed a paper bag, stuffed it with every random treat I owned and last I looked she was starting to drift off on her snuggle pad. So she’s finally relaxed. Joey was a little scared but seemed content to ‘hide’ from them in his log hidie and Eevee wasnt bothered, probably because she’s oldest.

So they were going on past 10pm. I know some people are at home again, but many of us still need to work and kids have school today... If it was just one night then I wouldn't mind, but they won't stop until February now. Never mind the fact council did fireworks show from different locations so people could safely watch from home.

Yeah, I hate fireworks... The noise, the rubbish and everything that comes with it lol! People complain they're struggling financially, yet have plenty to literally send it into the sky with a bang. Rant over :flag:
