Hi everyone. I have my own first aid kit for my boys, I have a good amount of different things in it at the moment but I’m keen to add more as back up. I’m well aware that first aid kits are not a replacement for a vet visit, needless to say I always go to the vets as a first port of call!

This is what I have so far:

Oxbow Critical care
Half a dozen 1ml syringes
2 bottles of metacam (for cats)
Gripe water
Infacol
Antibacterial wipes
Brush and comb
Nail clippers
Small animal Waterless shampoo
Pets at home aloe Shampoo for small animals
Oxbow joint supplements
Oxbow vit c supplements
Fly strike & fly guard spray
Johnson’s Antibacterial powder for small animals
Johnson’s tea tree skin cream for small animals
Pro c probiotic powder
Fibreplex
Metatone tonic
Petroleum jelly
Swarfega (boar cleaning)
Snuggle safe heat pads

Does anyone else have suggestions of what else I could add?

I think you have everything covered. But swarfega and infacol are not really good for guinea pigs. Swarfega is too rough and infacol can make bloat worse👍. I need to start a kit soon. Everythings all over the place

I wash it off straight away so it doesn’t harm them really. I prefer to use gripe water but I have infacal too just as a backup .

Maybe you could add some styptic powder in there? Like say you cut the quick on one of your piggies nails. You can usually find this on amazon.
Cornflour can be used as well.

I need to get a kit together as well actually.
