Hiya
I'm just wondering, after replenishing my own first aid kit, if I should make up one for my piggies and if so what it should consist of. After reading a few posts I have a bottle of metatone, some 1ml syringes (free from the pharmacy) and ear drops.
Any recommendations would be fab

This is what basic stuff I have in mine :

Its good to have an old towel or fleece to wrap piggie in for giving meds

- cotton wool pads -useful for bathing injuries
- powder or pencil for if you cut quick on piggies nails
- baby wipes
- critical care
- antifungal hand gel (like f10)
- antifungal disinfectant such as f10 or virkon
- nail clippers
- cream for minor scratches etc.. I use johnsons tea tree cream which is available online or from p@h
- variety of shampoos for diff skin conditions etc..
- probiotic for use with antibiotics
- fibreplex - great for pigs on meds improves appetite and stops upset tums from antibiotics
- hibiscrub - good for cleaning wounds
- xeno 50 - mite medication for guineas under800gms - this is vet recommended but can be bought online without prescription
- xeno 450 - mite meds as above for over 800gms
