Wanted my baby boars to have som "Floor time" outside.. prepared with LOTs of tunnels for them.

They were like .." are you kidding me..? Were is our cage?".. Didnt even move from the back of their carrier so i had to give up after an hour :-)

Very happy to bee back in! Better luck next time :-)

They just don’t appreciate the things we do.
I think your setup for their garden time is wonderful

Penny's first couple times outside I just held her or she sat not moving. So I get it. After a few more trips she now sprints across the grass, hides under little bushes and does not want to come inside. Sometimes a sound or a smell can make her freeze but not often.

You have great space for them there, and lots of lovely hides, but one thing is missing, and that is cover. They will be frightened of birds etc coming from above to attack them, without some kind of cover over the area. I had the same problems with our first pigs, they wouldn't move from the hides because the top of our wire enclosure was too open, even with a net over it. Can you pin some sheets and nets over the whole area, to give them shade and cover?

26545PL.jpgThis is the sort of outdoor run lots of people have, which provides sufficient cover and security for guinea pigs.
I don't like to be negative as you obviously care a lot for your piggies, however unless you can be absolutely 100% sure that predators such as cats dogs and foxes are not going to come in your garden, then I think the wire panels of your enclosure look dangerously low and flimsy. I would be worried that a predator could jump or push over the sides to get to the pig's. A cage like the one in the picture is more secure.

I wouldnt be worried for predatorer. Obviously this is not intendent for something they will be left in even for a moment without me or my kids sittning next to them. But i understand the thought about cover over them for increased feeling of stafety.
