Junior Guinea Pig
Just wanting to talk Pig with my fellow piggy lovers! I absolutely love my little popcorn butt, Ruckus! Last night while I giving our foster pig, Reeses, a bath, I decided to bath Ruckus too! Reeses is a 3yr old Satin Silkie, and is very use to the bathing processes. He stood still for me and my 2 year old while we soaped him up, and only rumbled a little while rubbing his grease gland. Ruckus on the other hand didn't know what to think of his bath. He looked miserable and tried to hide in the corner when I first set him in the water. After a bit of coaxing he finally gave in and stood still for his rinsing. I think he realized how nice the warm water felt being poured over his back. I went ahead and blew dried both of them. Reeses hid in my lap as I was drying his super long coat, while Ruckus loved the drier. He is so funny. I only wish I would have hand an extra set of hands to capture some pictures.
I think the bathing was a great bonding experience for all of us. Afterwards when I passed Reese kennel, he stayed out of his Pigloo the entire time I was in the room (which is a first since he has been here). Then this morning when I went to place Ruckus back into his kennel, he didn't want to go back in (which gave me a happy heart). Life is so good, and having my little piggies adds so much joy.
Oh! I also got a new sewing machine yesterday morning. It was a great find at $60 with a stand included. It was a garage sale find! Many Cuddle Cups and Kozi's to come!
