Hmmm so my two gals have been seperated for about 2 1/2 months since my bigger gal Hazel decided she no longer wanted to share her cage with her younger (and much smaller) sister. They have only breifly been together a few times for a quick nail clipping.

I am going to be brave and try to give them some floor time together. It just breaks my heart that they both live alone now... Wish me luck!

Ha! OK that lasted about 5 minutes..... Hazel started her teeth chattering so I seperated them....

Is that always a sign that a fight is going to take place or should I see if they can resolve it? I am just too scared that Hazel will hurt my little Coconut

Teeth chattering is perfectly normal... You should stop separating them, I know it's hard but you have to let them work it out it always looks much worse I was freaking out for days when introducing my two. Only separate if blood is drawn and generally one piggie is a big bully!

Boys are a bit different from girl but they can look very rough but nothing is inflicted! The older one is probably just being dominant.

http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=38561 this may help, someone else may be ablt to give you better advice! I have no dealings with sows!

You either have to leave them separate or sit through it and only separate when there is blood and SERIOUS fighting. Please introduce them on neutral ground as strangers.

Be aware that fallen-out adult guinea pigs rarely reunite and think about long term alternatives.
