Junior Guinea Pig
The weather was at last good enough for a short bit of outside time for Morse and Lewis on Saturday. They are now 9 months old and are beginning to bulk up a bit. They are now just short of 1kg each.
Anyway, I put them on the patio in the sunshine and seemed happy enough. Then I thought, why not put them on the grass and see how they like it. We haven't given them any grass so far, just hay. I moved them onto the grass and they totally didn't get what the grass was at all. I then tore some up myself and offered it to them. They didn't take it. It was like "what the heck is that?". Then for some reason they just started to eat the grass as if they hadn't eaten for a week. They couldn't get enough of it. It was lovely to see. Didn't leave them on the grass for long because I didn't want to disturb their stomachs to much. As it turned out they were fine. Put them outside again on Sunday and they loved munching the grass. I think we need a better outside run for them, one that is cat proof so we can leave them outside during the day in the summer time. I think they'll love it.
