Teenage Guinea Pig
I've had my piggies for 4 weeks today.
Being mid-winter in South Africa I haven't really taken them outside yet. Also, the garden I've made for them is not yet cat and bird proof.
But today was a beautiful day, warm and clear and just really nice, so I really wanted to take them out for a bit. So I blocked off a section of their garden (figured slightly smaller would be less intimidating) and I draped some shade cloth over 2/3 of it for aerial protection.
It took them about 10 min to venture out the cat crate, but once they did they seemed to really enjoy it! Didn't run laps or anything but explored quite a bit and munched happily on the (now rather long) grass and also on the veggies amd weeds I've planted in there for them. Saw a few popcorns too. Had them out for just under an hour.
Can't wait for the guy to make the garden patch fully safe for them!
