Just got my first boar piggie on Saturday & he's now living with Minnie. At grass time I'm trying to get them altogether on the lawn & here's the first pics:
pic a) Mitch is bottom right
Not quite bonded yet. I'm rubbing them all with lavender oil as suggested by Gwen at Bunny Burrows. It's supposed to have a calming effect on them They's OK most of the time but the ginger girl, Minnie is such a Minx & will attack any of the other 3 girls at the drop of a hat. That's why we got Mitch as her companion. She been sharing her run with him since Saturday & they're getting on great. The idea is to get them all together full time but at the moment it's just over an hour a day with a spray water bottle at hand to use as soon as the teeth chattering begins. They're all laid back apart from Minnie so she ends up with more than one spray each session.
We don't use a strimmer round the edges of the lawn so the piggies have some nice long grass to chomp at. I've just got to be careful not to have them out when the ice cream van comes round. The loud chimes scare them. They're not bothered about cars going past as you can see in pic b. they're next to the payment & road.
