Senior Guinea Pig
So we were going to go with a super cautious approach to introducing playpen time... but this morning when we went in Piggle and Puggle's room to feed the giant snails before the piggys, rather than running away, Puggle the shy one appeared wheeking in outrage that anyone else might get breakfast first- then both ate their breakfast in full view of us moving around the room.
So we have started playpen time tonight, and they are so happy!
We have a great playpen that is really sturdy and adjusts in size and shape- we have started with a 2ft by 4ft format but it will open out to 4ft by 4ft or a 5ft wide circle. A wooden hidey tube and a woven grass hidey tube. Homemade toy of a toilet roll middle stuffed with hay and coriander. Coriander hidden in and on the hidey tubes. They are constantly chattering and racing around chasing each other and they keep doing funny twitchy hops- is this popcorning?
