We have a small herd of 3 guineas and rescued another sow a couple of weeks ago. She had an injury but has been given the all clear by the vet to try and bond her with the other girls.
So tonight we have put a new fleece down and a run in the living room where we can keep an eye on them. They have been in together for 2 hrs now and they are mostly ignoring each other. Chocolate in the new sow and Cookie is an Abby from the group. We had always assumed that Chunky was the dominant one but it seems we were wring as Cookie is asserting herself and pushing chocolate out of the group.
Any tips on how to make the transition easier for Chocolate as it is so hard watching her, alone, pushed out and so sad!
