I can't get the vid to upload. But basically she was wheeking kind of jumping and running up and down the length of the pen at the bars and trying to nibble on them. Like kinda crazy lol. Does it mean she was scared and didn't like it? Done about ten poos and 4 wees in the space of 10 mins and ate some peppers and hay.

My daughter was sitting in the there with her.
Thanks.

Sounds like she was happy, popcorning and zooming. ;)

We haven't got a video uploading facility on this forum, as that would be too expensive. You can copy in any video that you have uploaded on a public setting elsewhere.

Her sister went to heaven yesterday. She was the nervous one of the two.

Maybe it's too soon. It's her first time as its been too cold to use the outdoor run and she has only had lap time twice a day up till now.

I think she is just a bit confused and upset by the run and wants to go off and explore. Hopefully, you can find her company soon and make her happy again!

I wonder if I could ask you a quick question on that subject whilst your here?

The people we got them off have one sow available free to us but she was prem so small. Apart from that nothing wrong with her. She was in with Pumpkin prior although not the same litter.

Or today we went to the Ark pet centre who have quite a few 8/10 week olds all mite treated and come with a 7 day pet plan thing she said. She said they get them from a breeder who treats them then they do the same. So get full health check from them.

Do you have any advice? Ideally I would like to get her one of the same age.

To be honest, age and relationship don't matter one bit - my (neutered) Carwyn was 3 years old and had just lost his 7 year old wife when I bonded him with a 6 weeks old baby and her 6 months old companion - it was love on first sight. They have been together for the last 1 1/2 years... Youngsters are actually often happier with an older guinea pig that they can take their cues from as they grow up. That is how they are wired to learn and it gives more reassurance.

If you can live with the fact that very small piggies can sometimes not live quite as long and that the piggies are not necessarily from the best place, I would rather go for a piggy that Pumpkin knows already. However, if you want to have more security, one of our recommended rescues is the best place. I don't know how good and piggy savvy your pet centre is.

Thank you. I will have a think about it. It's so hard as I am a new pet owner and nervous about it all I can't believe this has happened either.

In my mind the gps would live outside in their hutch together go in the run everyday with a lots of cuddles and everyone would be happy.

Here the prem one. Thanks again for your advice.

She is a little cutie! She has the advantage that they both know each other, so once they realise that, dominance should be less as they establish their group in new territory.

Unfortunately, guinea pigs are not the easy care cuddly children's pets that most people take them for - on the other hand, they are much more fascinating when you dive into their world!

I hope so.

That's for sure. So far I have spent about £300 and only had them since the 7th Jan lol. My daughter is 11 so is much more into them my son is 4 so not so much.

I hope she will be more relaxed in our company as time goes on and once she has a friend she will be happy.

I have been reading the links provided. Thanks again.
