... I've managed to sort out the guineas' floor time. Life has been super busy. Usually they are put in a 4x5 run with toys and loads of hay, and are taken back to the cage after a few hours. Today, I attached the C&C grid run to the cage, so they have the 3x4 cage and a 6x7 run. A fiddlesticks bridge wrapped in fleece has been used as a ramp between run and cage.

I was worried for the past while, they haven't been popcorning or doing zoomies much at all (maybe a rumblecorn here and there). As soon as I set up the run, they went crazy with full-on zoomying and popcorning for the past half hour straight (and the famous cartwheeling and peeing over one-another :mal:).

I'm so happy that they are having fun and enjoying themselves... it's making me want a massive cage or at least part-time free-roaming so they can have the space they clearly need. Does anyone have tips :hmm: (I know @Wiebke has a desk in her guinea pig room... does it have a computer/wires?)?

Yes, I have got a desk with a computer in the piggy roaming area, but we have all the wiring behind boars, well away from the guinea pigs. The same goes for the under table lighting strip plugs and cables - they are behind grids AND correx.

Poor Maelog, Hywel, Gethin, Bedo, and Carwyn, having to act as the cable protectors :)).

In all seriousness, the correx + grids idea helps a lot, I've been other people do it on videos. It wouldn't be hard to cable-proof the room, but the bookcases and small spaces might be a little more difficult (maybe simple planks of guinea-safe wood stuffed in the gaps would do the job).
