Hi all,

Put Jemima and Squiggles in the run this morning, thinking I would leave them there for an hour or so as it's their first time. They seem to love it, and have been scampering around and chatting away. My problem is.....How do you catch them again to put them back in the hutch?! It's a triangle shaped run. I have not had a problem picking them up from the hutch, but because there's only a small door to the run they are evading me! Don't want to scare them.

Any tips? I'm sure others must have had this problem in the beginning!

:))

Put a box or something in there, they'll run in after a few minutes, and it will make it easier for you to pick them up.

Do you have a pigloo or a box that they would go in? If you chase them in then you can just pick it up with them inside. That's what I'd do anyway.

My piggies are out in their runs for about 12 hours now and are loving all the new grass and dandelions.

Should also say, if it's a lovely day and they're enjoying it and not stressed maybe leave them out a little longer. Everyone here goes out for at least 8 hours when it's nice.

Thanks, did put a box in, but maybe I wasn't patient enough! I'm gonna leave them in for a bit longer and try again later!

I hate the triangular runs, I gave up trying to tempt Snickers in and climbed in the flipping thing earlier. Then got stuck and Mum had to get me out...

I like my openeable roof runs so much more!

Mine run into their cat carrier, the older sows are well trained but the two babies always try and be difficult, though they are slowly getting there.rolleyes

take everything out the run , i use an old hat that they seem to like it they jump straight in no probs or use a box , mine are only babies and run around this seems to less stress them , this is what works for me and my piggies

I open the lid on mine and hold a cosy inside and scoop up the first guinea who gets in, repeat until all safely home.:))
